it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.. in Warsaw

8 December, 2011

Last night, the first snowflakes of the season fell on the streets of Warsaw.

Even though it was quite late, it did not go without notice; a few students mentioned the snow in emails to me, and went on to wish me a merry Christmas.

And although none of the snow stuck around, the festive mood seemed to continue throughout today, both on campus and on the streets.

We also received our first piece of personal mail in Poland in the form of a Christmas card from friends in New Berlin, Wisconsin in the USA.  Thanks E & A!

Awe Sissy, I love this time of year! I can’t wait to spend this holiday season with you in Poland. Two weeks from today, I will be boarding the plane. Hopefully, their landing gear will work! Love and miss you!
