Happy Halloween from Warsaw!

I don’t have a costume, I did not go trick-or-treating, and I cannot remember the last time I had a piece of candy.

Not being inundated with Halloween products everywhere I go has been nice.  In fact, the only signs of it I have seen anywhere in Warsaw have been a handful of carved pumpkins and a group of high school boys wearing masks entertaining commuters outside of the Centrum Metro station.

I’ve always enjoyed Halloween and we wanted to carve pumpkins last weekend, but I sadly could not find any whole pumpkins for sale.  Because I could not have my own, I went for a walk yesterday and took pictures of the jack-o-lanterns other people carved.

    No costume? You could always go as an American.

    Ha! I wore that costume yesterday – college hoodie, jeans and sneakers.

    Gotta represent, you know?

      Sounds terrifying! Did you tell the Polish we’re invading? Fortunately, no more far right government in our country…
