Beach Weekend

30 May, 2011

In what we hope becomes an annual Morocco Fulbright ETA tradition, this weekend, our ETA family (short one NV – we missed you, Natty!) reunited in the beautiful coastal town of Oualidia to have an end-of-service conference.

Our rock star sister, EH, arranged the whole weekend and she did a fantastic job!  We stayed at the super zwin Beachview Hotel, and enjoyed balconies overlooking the pool area and Atlantic Ocean, as well as complimentary massages.

We had much-needed time to address business pertaining to the 2011-2012 ETAs, and the equally important business pertaining to reposing pool-side.  I’m happy to say that at our last official gathering, we did a much better job of remembering songs to sing than we did last September in the Sahara.

The seafood eaters feasted on platters of fresh fish, and I while my meal was less exciting, I did not go hungry.

All in all, it was a lovely weekend, and a great way to end our grant period.
